50 die in attack on Sri Lanka war zone hospital
In Colombo, Sri Lanka's war zone artillery shells tore through a hospital, living at least 50 wounded civilian dead. Health workers were so overwhelmed by the crush of the wounded, the little they could do was give gauze and bandages to the roughly 1,000 patients waiting for treatment. This incident happened when the government marched to destroy the reeling Tamil Tiger rebels to end their quarter-decade quest for a seperate homeland. The wave of artillery bombardments across the war zone was the cause of the terrible incident.Armnesty International urged Obama to push for a truce and appealed to the U.N. Security Council to establish a commission of inquiry into violations of international law.

Drew Peterson charged with murder, authorities say
Drew peterson was arrested after being called the prime suspect for the disappearence of his fourth wife. He was indicted of murder charges related to his third wife, Kathleen Savio, whose death had been ruled as an accidental drowning. He was taken to custody about 5:30 p.m. Tursday after a traffic stop near his home, to keep his three children from the scene. Peterson denied any wrongdoing in either case. There is no evidence proving that Peterson killed Kathleen Savio or Stacy Peterson, Brodsky said. The grand jury will continue to study the possibility of charges in Satcy Peterson's disappearence.

No clues, no ransom demand in boy's abduction
A three year old boy, Bryant Rodriguez, was kidnapped during a weekend home invasion. In San Bernadino area, two men broke into the house and tied up the boy his mother and other siblings. The boy's father was at work during the incident. Sheriffs officials placed the boy's picture on billboards on the U.S.-Mexican border. Officials said, the kidnappers have not contacted authorities or the parents. Both kidnappers are Hispanic males. The first suspect is 5-feet, 5 inches tall, between the ages of 18 and 20, unkown hair and eye color, was wearing black baseball hat , blue jeans, and green t-shirt. The other suspect is 5-foot-10, around age 24 witha thin build, black boots, black shirt and bandanna.
Do Now
This weekend nothing much happened. On Friday, I stayed home cleaning and watching tv. On Saturday, I went to Guadalupe Center with my boyfriend. We had fun, it was me and him with a few of his friends. Sunday, I was home all day watching tv and using the computer. This weekend was sort of boring.

Source:No criminal case likely over torture memos
In Washington, Justice Department officials stopped short the recommending criminal charges against Bush administration lawyers, who wrote secret memos approving harsh interrogation techniques of terror suspects. Also, the Justice Department notified two senators, on Monday, that most of their work was complited. The letter did'nt metion a possibility of criminal charges, nor did it name the lawyers under scrutiny. Many have asked for the matter to be dropped. The Whitehouse scheduled a hearing on the issue, both Whitehouse and Durbin pressed the Justice Department employees.

Jack Kemp, quarterback turned politician, dies
Former pro quarterback, Jack Kemp, died of cancer at age 73. Kemp died at his home in Bethesda, Md. On Saturday, shortly after 6 p.m. Kemp died, said Marci Robinson. Kemp was diagnosed with an unknown type of cancer, in January. He was the former quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, represented western New York for nine terms in congress, and left for a nonsuccessful Republican nomination for president in 1988. Eight years later he made it into the national ticket as Bob Dole's running mate against President Bill Clinton's bid for re-election. Kemp was against abortion and pushed for immigration reform to include a guest-worker program and status for the illegal immigrants in the already in the U.S.
Cause not yet known in 28-injury tour bus wreck
In Perris California, a tour bus crashed injuring all 28 people on board. Southern California investigators have not discovered the cause of this incident, and are still trying find out what caused it. Eight people injured in the accident on Interstate 215 were listed in critical condition, said Capt. Rick Griggs from the Riverside County Fire Department. Also, California Highway Patrol Officer Danny Hesser said, the bus veered to the right and crashed into a sound barrier wall along the way.Vice President, Curtis Basey, declined to comment.

Has swine flu story been overblown?
Ninety-seven cases in Mexico,with seven deaths, have been confirmed by the Who. The 2,500 cases and more than 150 deaths that Mexican officials reported have not jet been confirmed. Out of a population of 300 million people, 109 cases have been confirmed with 1 death. Scientists studying the swine flu virus belive that it's not as deadly as people think. Also, some scientists suggest that the swine flu virus may not even cause as much damage as the regular flu. It is said, more than 13,000 people in the U.S. died because of the seasonal flu since January. A total of 36,000 people die from the normal flu a year. Has swine flu story been overblown? The answer is yes, the media has learned the fear of this virus, and the increase ratings of web hits.

Report: Poor Latinos face abuse, racial profiling in South
The report states that 500 immigrants were victims of a racial profiling and were denied basic health protection. One of the unfortunate racial profiling incidents was the story of a woman from Tennessee who was jailed for asking for her pay after working at a cheese factory. Another, was a bean picker from Alabama said, police from a traffic stop took his life savings. Also, a rapist in Georgia was not arrested because the suspect's victims was an undocumented immigrant. 45 percent of the people said they experienced theft of their waiges, and Forty-seven percent were treated unfairly by police. Also Seventy-seven percent of the women said they were sexually harassed by their boss.

Airplane hijacker captured in Jamaica; no injuries
On Monday, near Montego Bay, a gunman held six crew members for eight hours in a Canadian jet.20 year-old Jamaican hijacker,Stephen Fray, was described as mentally challenged. It is said, that Fray was upset because he and his girlfriend had broke up. The insident began Sunday at 10:20p.m. and ended near 6:40a.m. Fortunatly there were no deaths or injuries.

President Obama and Family host 'green' Easter fest
President Obama hatched a new syle White House celebration last Monady. They rolled out new green enviromentally friendly souvenir eggs and invited gay parentsfrom all over the country. The new style egg fest had a slightly scrambled begining when the chef 's microphone failed to work. Thousands of people on the Southeloan of the White House were treated by Obama through a giant Easter bunny's ear. The Black Eyed Peas'Fergie performed. They also had various activities for the kids to stay active and healthy. Thay danced, played basketball, tennis, and more games. They had a fantastic time.

Computer Use In The Classroom
Computer use in the classroon is needed. Students need the computers resources, such as the internet, to find, type, and save their class work. Not all students interests in the computer involve classwork, sone of them like to use the computer to play games, watch videos, check their myspace, facebook, bebo, and more. Most teachers get mad when their students playing in the computer that they sometimes decide to plug off the ethernet wire and not let does students used the computers for the rest of the class. Therefor, students should put in their minds that in school they go to work not play.
Curent Event (Man Shot Outside Olathe Bar)
Early Tuesday Morning, a man was shot in a parking lot outside Job Site Bar & Grill. It is said, a fight broke out, in the process somebody pulled out a gun, and the victim was shot. Police officers were called at about 1:30 to the scene. The police said, they have a suspect in custody. The names of the victim and the shooter have not yet been released.

"President Barack Obama's Stimulus Package "
In Washigton D.C., president Barack Obama's $787 billion stimulus bill pased. He signed the stimulus package into law tuesday. The one-month aneversary of his presidency provides a range of $800 a year tax cuts for middle class families. President Obama unveiled a $50 billion plan, aimed at the home foreclosures stricking America. It is expected for the plan to use government subsides to help lower the interests for homeowners. Further more, school teachers who may now continue their critical mission rather face layoffs under a proposed $700 billion cut.
